Falling
As we grow older, it is common to experience more instances of failure rather than success. According to psychologist Ian Wallace, dreaming about falling represents the fear of losing control. You may feel unable to manage certain aspects of your life anymore due to unexpected and major changes. Reflect on which area of life you feel restricted or exposed in (such as work, relationships, finances, health, etc.), and consider ways to address and improve it.
A few researchers provide a basic physiological explanation for dreams involving falling. When the body is transitioning into sleep, the nervous system begins to relax, resulting in a decrease in blood pressure and heart rate. If your brain was overwhelmed during the day, it may interpret these changes as a threat or impending death, leading to a sudden awakening.
Flying in dreams represents the liberation from difficult trials and achieving the sought-after sense of freedom.
